FAQs ABOUT DISNEY 2024

Is the deposit per person?
Yes, the $150 deposit is per person registering for the trip.

If we pay a deposit and the trip has to be canceled because not enough people wish to go, will we get our deposit back?
The director has 60 days to cancel the trip if enough singers can’t participate. If that is the case, all your money will be refunded.

Can we make payments via credit card?

Yes, payments can be made online with credit card through your Music Travel account. They accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard & Discover.

If a choir member and their family decide to travel separately from the group, are Honor Choir members still able to perform?

No, unfortunately singers not traveling with the group will not be eligible to perform with the choir during our performance.

In addition, choir members not traveling with CHC will lose access to transportation from the Orlando Airport, a hotel room, park tickets, meal vouchers, early access breakfast at the park, the “first-on” ride experience at Hollywood Studios, access to the reserved dinner and fireworks show at Epcot, and–most importantly–time spent with their fellow choir members on this unforgettable trip.

Is there a chaperone in every room?

Yes there will be an adult chaperone in every room. All Chaperones will have a background check.

At what rate are chaperones charged? Quad, triple, twin, single?

The chaperones’ cost is based on a quad room because there will be a chaperone and three students per room.

If we have a family of four including our choir student is that a quad occupancy?

Yes.

If we get a quad room is that guaranteed to be with 3 other of our family members or are rooms just randomly assigned?

If other members of your family go, they will be in the same room with you.

How many performances will the group have?

The choir will have one performance on the stage at Disney Springs.

Who can attend?

Honor Choir students and their immediate family members, i.e., parent(s)/guardian(s) and choir member’s sibling(s), can sign up to be part of our tour group.

Can we provide our own transportation to and from Florida if we would like to extend our trip?

Unfortunately, the travel package provided for this trip cannot be broken apart (i.e., only pay hotel or only pay airfare), nor can the airline tickets be changed to a different departure date or time. This package is only available as is with no travel changes.

How much time will be spent on Honor Choir activities versus time to enjoy Disney?

We will have one rehearsal and then perform on stage once during the trip. For the remainder of the time, the choir will be enjoying group time in the Disney parks.

What fundraisers are available and when are they happening?
A different restaurant fundraiser will be scheduled once every month. A list of locations and dates will be available soon. The only way to raise money with restaurant fundraisers is to advertise to your friends and family to support the choir by eating at that location on that particular day.

In addition, a donation website that students can use to solicit donations individually is being worked through. The logistics behind that process are vast, but if we are able to make it happen, those links will be available in a few weeks.

Finally, car washes are being scheduled for the Crowley area. Signup sheets will be posted online for those interested in participating. Watch for more information in our newsletter and via Remind.
